Kinda. . . I took my car to a grip day at puke on sunday. Was really fun to get out and actually drive it out of 4th gear. I did a little bit of drifting, managed to do the drifting section a few times, including the 180km/h+ sweeper entry. 5th gear drifting rules!

The plan was to finish my car on sunday last week and have it ready for the dyno on Wednesday lunch time. Things didn’t quite go to plan.
After having a big weekend drinking and not getting home no earlier than 4am on thursday, friday and saturday night i wasnt to motivated to do work on my car. I ended up with 90% of its finished on Tuesday night at about 10pm. Woke up earlier and managed to finish the rest of it off bar swapping the cam angle sensor to suit my ECU. Drove 2 and a half hours to Speed Factor who were giving me Dyno and tuning time free of charge.
So i got down there, swapped the CAS over, started it first pop and it idled for about 15 seconds then a loud knock appeared. Quickly killed it, had a look in the engine bay, double checked oil and that was sweet. Long story short, after 6 hours of mind fucking, removing the cams 3 times, removing the chain tensioner twice, changing the oil, compression test and re-wiring the injectors. Now thursday 11am we started it and it didn’t knock . . . ??? and hasnt since.
Finaly got it on the dyno at 3pm thursday and after about 40 minutes got the power figure of 228KW/305HP at the wheels on 6psi.
Awesome, took it for a drive on a few of the roads around my house once i got back and i can not believe how fast it is. Will get some vids when possible.
Not quite Joel spec, but i can tow with it and not get pulled over every time i drive it. haha

So as i said a couple days ago i was heading down to Manfield raceway for a drift comp. Unloading my car and driving it to get its safety check was about as good as it got for me.
Heading out for my warm up lap got about half way round the track to the back straight and was crusing at 100km/h when this happened…..
#1 cylinder threw its rod in all kinds of directions, basically writing off my hole engine. As of now i am unsure what has caused it, i’m pulling the engine out tonight and will be having a good look.
So, Where to from here? The day before this happened i picked up a bunch of cool stuff from a friend of mine Jonno Bennet, including a turbo, turbo manifold, full exhaust, external wastegate, intercooler and piping and injectors for a f20C.
If i had not of bought that i would not be buying another f20c and gearbox this weekend. Stay tuned and watch out nissan!!
